Adam Herz is the founding partner of Hunter Advisors, and specializes in senior level placements within the global alternative asset management industry. Adam brings to his clients a vast breadth of experience dealing with all aspects of human capital for premier hedge funds. He helps to advise clients with strategic decisions related to management and growth issues. Additionally, he has helped provide capital introductions to seed nascent funds and then works closely with these funds and other firms as an advisor.
Previously, Adam was a Senior Vice President with Whitney Group, a global executive search firm from 2001 to 2003. He specialized in global credit markets and the hedge fund industry with extensive experience in placing both investing and research professionals in Event Driven, Distressed, Market Neutral, Credit Arbitrage and Multi Strategy funds. Prior to joining Whitney Group, Adam was a Director at the Options Group, an international executive search firm, in their capital markets practice from 1994 to 2001. At Options Group he was recognized as the number one recruiter globally for two consecutive years, as well as being granted an award for outstanding achievement in 2000.
Adam was named one of the 25 most important executive recruiters in the Hedge Fund industry by Hedge Me (2nd Edition): The Insiders Guide: US Hedge Fund Job Opportunities (an independent publication). He has been quoted in Absolute Return, Hedge Fund Alert, Alternative Investment News, Wall Street Letter, Hedge Fund Manager, Institutional Investor and High Yield Report as well as numerous other publications as a recognized hedge fund recruiting expert. Adam has also spoken about recruiting trends in the alternative asset management industry at MARHedge World Wealth Summit in Bermuda.
Adam graduated from Boston University with a BA in political science. He is also a Trustee of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and is actively involved with several other charities.
